Aztec Secret - Indian Healing Clay
I highly recommend this for for type 4 hair! But all hair types can use clay as a cleanser. Here's why: I was unable to wash my hair for just over 2 months and had a ton of product build up. Usually, I'd have to shampoo my hair at least twice to clean my hair strands and an extra shampoo to get rid of any residual product build up left behind after the first 2 washes... But, imagine my surprise when I tried a clay hair mask (as recommended by a friend) instead and it cleaned both my hair and scalp in one go, without damaging my hair strands. It left my hair feeling soft and moisturized too. I used 1 part clay to 2 parts water, 2 Tablespoons of olive oil and 2 Tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. And left it on until it dried before washing it out. You can deep condition as you normally would after rinsing it out. It took just as long as my usual wash day routine but had way better results! I'm now excited to try using a clay mask with a few drops of essential oils like black seed oil and tea tree oil, just to see if there is a difference from just using olive oil alone. I also now understand why some tribes in Africa use clay in their hair, and after my first experience with cleansing hair using a clay mask, there's no way I'm going back to using shampoo again!
I am still amazed and confused at how a clay which cleanses my hair hair can leave my hair clean and soo moisturised. I would recommend for everyone especially persons with low porosity type 4 hair like myself. I usually mix the clay with hair oil,not much and then apply. I found that the deep conditioner and styling I used afterwards absorb in my hair shaft soo well afterwards. I am in love with this product. Please don't stop selling this
I didn't expect much from this product but I was completed shocked when I used it on my daughter's 4c hair. Her hair was squicky clean and so smooth. I found that her hair absorb the deep conditioner better as well. Can't wait to use it again. I am sold.
Been buying this product for years now. And my hair and face loves it.
I have natural hair. I dont usually get product bulid up ( well at least its not ever obvious) but over time i realise that sometimes my hair wouldnt respond to my conditioners so i use this in place of shampoo ( I’m not sure if this is the correct way but it works for me), give it a really good rinse and condition my hair. Even before conditioning, my curls really pop back and i have a nice shine to it.
When I have breakouts, had breakouts or think I’m going to get one ( 😂especially when I know Ive eaten junk) this really get the gunk out of my pores without stripping my skin.
I mix mine with Apple Cider Vinegar but if your skin / scalp is sensitive or you’re now trying for the first time , I believu can substitute or dilute the ACV with water.
I usually get my hair goodies from Nouri once in stock but I only realised that she sells this product the other day and it was cheaper than I was originally paying before so I don't only recommend that you get this product but also that you get it from Nouri.
Great product. My hair was clean, soft, defined and manageable.
